During my time at Kent State University, I have participated in a number of extracurricular activities that have helped shape me into the hard-working student and employee that I am. I have held leadership positions in student organizations, acted as a liaison to communication faculty, completed an internship, and participated in the Ohio Communication Association Conference. Comm Yearbook in Brief Awards Spring 2020
The Comm Yearbook in Brief Awards were voted on by communication students in the Spring of 2020.
In the Spring of 2020, I completed an independent study where I wrote a research paper to submit for presentation to the OCA 2020 conference. My paper was accepted to the conference over the summer, and I presented my research at the conference in October. I was also the recipient of the Distinguished Undergraduate Student Award for 2020.
In the Spring of 2020, I completed an internship with Kent State University in the Events and Conferences Center as an Event Planning Intern. During my time as an intern, I created marketing materials for the university, wrote newsletters, and worked closely with customers to ensure their event was planned accordingly.
Comm Club at Kent State University at Stark
I joined the university's Comm Club in the Spring of 2019 as its Publicity Coordinator. I served as Publicity Coordinator for a year and I am now serving as President during my senior year. The pictures below are from "field trips" the club took. One trip was to Homesite Insurance in Akron where we spoke to their Human Resources team. The other trip was to the Ohio Communication Association 2019 Conference at Xavier University.
